We know you’re concerned about the Coronavirus and want to reassure you that we are taking aggressive steps to reduce the risk of transmission of the virus in our clinic. We are closely monitoring events in our local community and continuously updating our policies and protocols as a result of new information. Please know that our office is following all recommended guidance from the CDC, including best practices for hygiene, social distancing, and infection control.
We appreciate the trust you place in us and want to inform you of the ways we are addressing COVID-19 as our highest priority is to keep all of our patients and staff as safe as possible.
Screening: At the recommendation of CDC, we will be taking patients' temperatures and asking symptom and exposure related questions prior to allowing the patient to enter the reception area.
Visitors: At this time, only patients are allowed to enter the office unless the patient requires assistance. In this case, only one visitor will be allowed. Family members and/or guests will need to wait in their vehicle.
Coumadin Checks: Patients requiring Coumadin check visits are now being seen without leaving their car.
Telehealth: Our preferred method of treatment at this time is via a telehealth consultation with one of our providers. By using your smart phone or a laptop/computer with camera and internet access, your provider can meet with you and bill the visit to your medical insurance just like a standard in-person visit in our office. However, not every condition can be treated in this way, so your doctor may recommend you visit our office. Our goal is to treat you from a distance, following CDC recommended social distancing guidelines. If your condition requires in-person care we would prefer to see you in our office rather than having you visit a busy urgent care or ER during this pandemic.
If you have any questions about this notification or your upcoming appointment, please call our office at 229-551-0083. Thank you for your continued trust as we work together to fight the virus.
